AWARDS AND HONORS
EACH TOPS CHAPTER HAS ITS OWN INDIVIDUAL POLICIES FOR HANDING OUT CHARMS AND AWARDS, BUT HERE ARE A FEW OF OURS:
When you have been a member of our chapter for 3 months, or have lost 5 pounds, (whichever comes first), you receive a silver finished charm bracelet along with a starter TOPSI charm (which is our chapter charm)
You receive a charm of your choice for every five pounds you lose from your original starting weight in our chapter. We award these the second meeting of the month and this is for a first time loss.
Division Winners and Chapter Royalty receive charms.
Officers receive a charm appropriate to their office.
When you have a birthday, you will receive a free charm. We try to award this as close to the birth date as we can.
Anyone coming in with a weight loss for 7 straight weeks (no absences, stay the sames allowed) will receive a special 7 week weight loss charm. This is for a first time weight loss only. If the meeting has to be canceled for some reason, then this is not held against the member
Century Club Medallion - anyone losing 100 pounds and keeping it off for one year receives a special award from national.
When a KOPS reaches goal, she receives a KOPS graduation charm. KOPS also receive charms of their choice for being in leeway through the year and on the anniversary of their reaching KOPS
SPECIAL HONORS
When a member becomes a KOPS (has gotten to goal and has submitted a goal slip from a licensed healthcare professional) she is honored with a penny a pound ceremony. She receives a penny a pound for each pound she has lost down to goal from every member. (Usually they also give a small gift as well)
